How do I earn Hot Cash?

Hot Cash can be earned with a qualifying purchase. Qualifying purchases do not include taxes, shipping, vinyl records, DVDs, CDs, or gift cards.

When do I earn Hot Cash?

Hot Cash is earned during specific earning periods online and in stores. The amount earned is based on the total amount of an eligible purchase before any discounts, taxes or shipping.

When will I receive my Hot Cash?

Hot Cash will be issued to your Hot Topic Rewards account within 24 hours of your transaction. If a Hot Cash coupon is earned during the previous coupon redemption period, it will appear in your Hot Topic Rewards account up to 48 hours after that redemption period ends.

How will I receive my Hot Cash ?

Hot Cash will be issued directly into your account for all in-store and online transactions. Log into your Hot Topic Rewards account to view all available Hot Cash.

Guest shoppers

In store, a Hot Topic Associate will include any Hot Cash coupons earned with your purchase at the register. Online, your packing slip will have Hot Cash promo codes.

Is there a limit to how many Hot Cash I can earn within a period?

Yes, you can only earn up to $450 Hot Cash per period.

How do I redeem my Hot Cash?

Spend your Hot Cash during the specified redemption periods. Each Hot Cash coupon is valid on purchases of $30 or more.


In-store

Provide the Hot Topic Associate your Hot Topic Rewards information at the register. Let them know you’d like to use your Hot Cash. Not a member? Spend your Hot Cash by giving it to the associate at checkout. There is no limit to how many Hot Cash coupons you can redeem in-store.

Online

Log into your Hot Topic Rewards account and be sure to activate your Hot Cash by clicking “Activate”. Once your Hot Cash is activated, proceed to checkout to apply. Not a member? Spend your Hot Cash online by entering the promo code on the back of your Hot Cash at check out.

How do I activate my Hot Cash?

An activation button will appear during the redemption period in your rewards page. Click activate for Hot Cash to appear in checkout.

Do I have to activate all of my my Hot Cash?

Activation is required for each redemption period. You only have to activate once per period to redeem all of your Hot Cash.

Can I combine my Hot Cash with other coupons?

Earning Hot Cash

Hot Cash can be earned even when applying other discounts and offers to your purchases.

Redeeming Hot Cash:

Hot Cash is not combinable with other offers, promotional codes or coupons.

Can I use my Hot Cash on anything?

I earned Hot Cash, but I don’t see it in checkout. What do I do?

Earning Hot Cash

Hot Cash will only appear in checkout during redemption periods and after you have activated it.

Redeeming Hot Cash:

Go to your rewards page to activate your Hot Cash. After activating, you’ll see your Hot Cash when you check out.

How many Hot Cash can I redeem at one time?

During in-store transactions you can use as many Hot Cash coupons as you want as long as the total amount meets the requirement. Online, you can use up to ten (10) Hot Cash coupons per transaction.

How often can I use my Hot Cash?

Hot Cash can only be used during specified redemption periods. Each Hot Cash coupon can only be used once.

I am not going to use my Hot Cash; can I send it to another account?

No, Hot Cash cannot be gifted to another Hot Topic Rewards account.

What happens to my Hot Cash if I make a return?

Hot Cash cannot be returned. We will refund the amount you paid for the transaction, but you will not get your Hot Cash back.

Does my Hot Cash expire?

Yes, members can only use Hot Cash during specific redemption periods. If you do not use your Hot Cash during that time, the coupon will expire.

Earn Hot Cash

Receive a Hot Cash coupon for $15 off a qualifying purchase made from 3/6/24 through 4/23/24 (the “Earning Period”). Customers may only earn up to $450 in Hot Cash coupons per Earning Period. Qualifying purchases do not include prior purchases, taxes, shipping, gift cards, or donations. Customers who redeemed Hot Cash coupons from 3/6/24 to 3/17/24 are not eligible to earn Hot Cash coupons for the period of those dates during this Earning Period. All Hot Cash coupons earned between 3/6/24 and 4/23/24 must be redeemed for one-time use on a purchase of $30 or more (before tax and excluding shipping) from 4/25/24 (or 4/24/24 for Hot Topic Rewards members) through 5/5/24 only (the “Redemption Period”). Customers who redeem Hot Cash coupons are not eligible to earn Hot Cash coupons for the duration of the Redemption Period. Hot Cash coupons may not be combined with any other promotions, coupons, discounts, or offers. Hot Cash Coupons not valid on prior purchases, donations, gift cards, taxes, shipping, vinyl records, DVDs, CDs, select Funko products, or select styles.
