Q: What if I can’t remember my member number or the email address and telephone number I used to enroll in HT+1?

A: Don't worry. If you've forgotten any of this info, just call Hot Topic Customer Service at 1-800-892-8674.

Q: How do I make sure HT+1 has my most current contact information, including my email address?

A: Your email address is important to HT+1, since that’s mainly how we’ll communicate with you about the program.  Be sure to sign in to the My Preferences section on Hottopic.com frequently to be sure your information is accurate and up to date.  You can also call Hot Topic Customer Service at 1-800-892-8674.

Q: How can I track my points?

A: Your current point total will print out on your receipt every time you register a visit or make a purchase at a Hot Topic store.  You can also sign in to your account on Hottopic.com and review all your account activity, including points, or just call Hot Topic Customer Service at 1-800-892-8674.

Q: What's HT+1?

A: HT+1 is the new loyalty program that rewards you for visiting Hot Topic stores, Hot Topic kiosks, shopping at Hot Topic—in stores or online—and being one of our favorite customers! To join and receive all the benefits, click here to enroll now. You can also go to any Hot Topic store, fill out an enrollment form, keep your card or sticker, and show it whenever you make a Hot Topic purchase or even just visit a store! Some states may restrict participation in the HT+1 Loyalty Program.  Details about any restrictions will be available at the time of your registration. Children under the age of 13 must enroll through a parent or legal guardian.

Q: Why should I become a member? What's in it for me?

A: Okay, check this out. If you become a member, you’ll receive benefits in stores and online.  You’ll receive a discount for your birthday every year. Online, you'll be able to enter exclusive sweepstakes, earn points for taking surveys and answering trivia questions, and check your status anytime you like! Wait, there's more! If you're a member, you’ll receive exclusive Hot Topic email, letting you know about new products, announcements and special events before anybody else. Plus you’ll earn points for every purchase you make, which will be good for special rewards we’ll make available from time to time.  In stores, you’ll receive 10 points every time you visit a store or check in on a Hot Topic kiosk- even if you don’t buy anything!  How cool is that? Join now!

Q: How do I sign up?

A: There are four ways to sign up: 1)  Fill out an enrollment form at any Hot Topic store, and give it to a sales associate. You’ll receive the HT+1 card, key tag and stickers with your member number.  2) Sign up online at Hottopic.com. 3) Enroll on a kiosk at a Hot Topic store.  4) Call Customer Service at 1-800-892-8674.

Q: What do you do with the information about me that you collect?

A: Please read our Privacy Policy.  It gives you details about how we take care of your personal information.

Q: I enrolled online or lost my membership card. How can I get a new one?

A: Just go into a Hot Topic store and let the sales associate know what’s up. They’ll be able to look you up and issue you a new card on the spot.

Q: How can I earn points?

A: You’ll earn points when you visit and/or make a purchase in a Hot Topic store and register the visit by showing your HT+1 card to the sales associate for them to scan, scanning your card on the kiosks yourself, or entering your email address or phone number you used to sign up for the HT+1 Loyalty Program.  No purchase is necessary to earn points for a store visit! You can also earn points when you sign in to your account and make purchases on Hottopic.com. Points are earned for the net purchase price (excluding discounts and tax) but are not earned when purchasing Hot Topic Gift Cards or making charitable donations.

Q: Will I receive points for buying Hot Topic Gift Cards?

A: Nope.

Q: Will I receive points for purchases made at Torrid?

A: Nope.

Q: Do my unused points ever expire?

A: Unused points will expire 18 months from the day they are posted to your account.  If merchandise is returned, the earned points will be deducted from the oldest points in your account (the points that are closest to expiration).

Q: If I don't have my membership card, can I still get points?

A: Yes!  If you’re in a store, just give the sales associate your email address, membership number, or the phone number you used to enroll in the program and they’ll be able to look you up. You can also look up your account using our store kiosks. If you’re shopping at Hottopic.com, just be sure to sign in to your account to make sure you get credit for your purchases!

Q: If I earned points for a purchase, do I lose them when I return an item?

A: Yes, the points will be deducted from your account.

Q: Can I combine my points with a family member or friend?

A: No.  Only one account per email address is permitted, and points can't be combined.

Q: How long does it take for points to post to my account?

A: It can take up to 14 days for points to post to your account.  Points you earn for online purchases will not post to your account until the items have shipped from Hottopic.com.

Q: What are some of the rewards available through HT+1?

A: Rewards offered as part of HT+1 will vary from time to time but can include:
-Invitations to participate in exclusive sweepstakes or promotions for members only
-A discount on Hot Topic merchandise for your birthday!
Discount rewards aren’t valid toward previously purchased merchandise or the purchase of gift cards. They’re not redeemable for cash, nor are they valid with any other coupon or offer. Rewards are good for a one-time use only.

Q: How will I know when I have earned a reward?

A: Keep an eye on your receipt messages, emails from HT+1, and sign in to your account on any of our Hot Topic kiosks or Hottopic.com as often as possible.  These are the three ways we’ll keep you posted on rewards and exclusive info for members!

Q: What are the rules for redeeming a reward?

A: Rewards expire on the expiration date associated with the reward and may or may not be combined with any other offer or discount. Rewards are not transferable, may not be reproduced, and any reward lost or stolen will not be replaced. Rewards are not valid toward previously purchased merchandise or the purchase of Hot Topic Gift Cards. They are not redeemable for cash, nor are they valid with any other offer. Rewards are good for a one-time use only.

Q: Do I always qualify for rewards after I enroll?

A: You must stay an active member to receive benefits and redeem rewards. To be an active member, just show your membership card to the sales associate when you visit or make a purchase at a Hot Topic Store, and/or sign in to Hottopic.com before making a purchase online.   If you do not do any of these things for 13 months in a row, Hot Topic will assume that you no longer want to be a member in the HT+1 Loyalty Program and we will automatically cancel your membership.

Q: Can I cancel my membership in the HT+1 Loyalty Program?

A: You may cancel your membership at any time by notifying Hot Topic Customer Service by mail at HT+1 Loyalty Program, 18305 E, San Jose Avenue, City of Industry, CA 91748. You can also email us at HTPlus1@Hottopic.com or call Customer Service at 1-800-892-8674. Cancellation may take from 6 to 8 weeks to complete.

Q: If I live outside of the U.S. can I join and participate in the program?

A: Only residents of the U.S., Canada and Mexico are eligible to join and participate in the program. If you aren’t able to participate in HT+1, you can still create a Hottopic.com account to store your personal information, making it easy to shop. If choose to receive emails from us, we can also let you know about all the cool stuff Hot Topic is offering.
